The application documents for CIS vary from different universities, but the basis required documents are mostly the same. In most cases, following documents are essential for applying CIS:

1. Application Form for Confucius Institute Scholarship

2. Photocopy of the information page of your passport

3. Photocopy of HSK & HSKK Certificate

4. Notarized copies of your highest degree diploma and transcripts

5. Recommendation letters from recommending Institution

6. Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form

Note: All documents should be written in Chinese or English and applicants younger than 18 should provide valid documents of your legal guardians in China.
