I am a 25-year-old Cameroonian with a strong academic background and demonstrated interpersonal skills. I am applying to the International Business program because I believe my technical skills will blossom at your program. It is a place where I will be challenged and where I will develop my knowledge in Business and Management.

The movement towards a global economy and unprecedented explosion of free trade and exchange worldwide has brought about immense opportunities to develop newer tools, instruments, and methodologies in the fields of Business and Management. It is this challenging environment to which I intend to contribute by evolving meaningful and optimal solutions and advance analytical approaches to various problems of International Business.

I majored in accounting during my undergraduate studies. I chose to study Accountancy because of my belief that mathematics is the foundation of academic and professional development in the field of Business and Economics. My department offered us comprehensive training in diverse fields such as Economics, Finance, Marketing, and Management to name a few. With this extensive foundation, I am convinced that I can cope with the demands of your master’s program. My academic experiences impressed upon me the importance of accounting in the modern business world as well as the crucial role played by management in the ultimate direction and success of a company. After completing my studies, I took up a role as an accountant with a private sector enterprise specialized in public works and construction. I have served there for two years and I think it is time for me to grow in my career and move into a wider sphere by studying International Business.

I have selected University because of its outstanding faculty and research facilities, emphasis on collaborative learning environment, flexibility in curriculum and a global perspective of various key issues in International Business. The university covers various courses which are transmitted in English. I will be able to get in touch with many companies and attend seminars and workshops as part of my training. It is an honor to obtain a qualification from your institution in Cameroon given the opportunities that this brings such as acquiring the experience of well-trained tutors and an intense curriculum demanding a lot of hard work and concentration from students. I will be able to share in the rich culture and could study another language.

Haven acquired such knowledge and skills, I do not only seek to obtain a job but to extend my studies at a PhD level to provide young Cameroonians with the knowledge I have acquired. A professor of International Business is a childhood dream to me. Such an expert is rare in English speaking universities in Cameroon who for the time being benefit from visiting lecturers. Cameroon will be enriched with the human capital required to carry out skilled jobs given the rapid growth of technology due to globalization. I believe after achieving these goals and objectives, I will be a vital instrument in fostering improved economic growth in Cameroon and the sub-Saharan African region at large by training young students , providing them with a brighter future and giving them a competitive advantage in the job market. They will be vital in achieving the country’s long term growth vision of being an emergent nation by 2035. They too will train future generations with the acquired skills and technology of their era. The primary objective here is to ensure sustainability of the human capital resource.

It is therefore my desire to take my career to another milestone by becoming one of the prestigious students at University where I will strive to be the best such that I will be able to give out just the very best of me. I have no doubt that this program will meet the criteria of intellectual rigor that I have set for myself, my education and for those I have promised to serve.
