I have chosen to apply for the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine due to my interest for Chinese medicine. Since young, I have always been passionate in learning the Chinese culture, in which made me join a 2 year bi-cultural studies program to learn more about the integration of Chinese and western culture in the year 2013-2014. To further my understanding, I went through an bicultural immersion trip to Chongqing university and also underwent a english-chinese translation course. Now as I am on the crossroad to choose my university path, I am determined to further my studies in understanding Chinese culture through Chinese medicine. I am intrigued by the theoretical system of Chinese medicine , drastically different from the western medicine. I had chanced upon the BUCM during my research online on different universities and was instantly drawn toward the courses BUCM has to offer. I hope to be able to pursue my dreams of studying Chinese medicine in the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.
