When I first heard of the CUCAS Study in China Program I really got excited from the idea of applying to China and actually study there. China has always been my highly desired study destination because of of Her great economic activities, followed by the great population She has and the richness of culture and traditions to explore around whilst there.

So when I received my first email from CUCAS, I was introduced to a couple of universities which I all admired since they all offered the course I wish to pursue in university. But as I scrolled the the different university I came across Bohai University and my eyes were captivated at what they read. From that moment on I knew that I wanted to pursue Business Administration at Bohai University.

For me what made Bohai University stand superior than the other universities was that this university is located in a historical culture city in Bohai. I was really excited about that because it meant there is a lot that I could learn about some of China's culture and traditions ; things that would sustain me for a life time a make me different from any other African child and also stand as a great symbol that I was once a Chinese citizen. I was also stolen by the fact that Bohai University has a harmonious but distinct learning environment which would help me in staying focused on my studies and allow me to to find my peace in my books. Moreover, Bohai University is said to have more than 450 international students which I believe is something amazing. I could get the opportunity to interact with a vast number of students from different paths of the world and this would help to increase my social skills as well as learn more about a whole lots of other cultures. Lastly, Bohai University has set her application deadline at a later date than most universities under CUCAS (28 February 2017). This would allow me to save up the money needed for my applications to study in China since I come from a financially disadvantaged background.

Due to all these reasons I have stated above, I really hope you understand how much it means to me to study in China as this opportunity would help me understand the basics of businesses from the course I hope to study .Therefore I will return to my country a person who would have learnt from the best and transform the poor state of my family for the best.
