My Name is RUTANDURA Jacques, and I am Burundian, in East African Community.

I am Water Resources technical Expert in Integrated Water Resources Management Department to General Direction of Water Resources and Sanitation under the Ministry of Water, Environment, Land and Urban Planning. I work as Advisor at the Burundian Office for the Protection of the Environment under the Ministry of Water, Environment, Land and Urban Planing.

For clarification to my qualification, I am Master in the Environmental Sciences in Aquatic Environment Management and Engineer in Rural engineering, Water and Forestry. And then, I was attending the Training on « Environmental Hydrology for Arid and Semi-Arid Regions » held at the Regional Training Center of Hydraulics Research Institute ,Delta Barrage, Egypt.

As a Burundian applicant and water resources future leadership whom I want to apply as an international student, I would request an admission and Scholarship for Doctoral program in Hydrology and Water Resources at China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) in respect of the Regulations Regarding International Students.

Wishing to pursue my studies and thus achieve the level of technical skill required to excel in the fields of protection and management of water resources, I propose to you my candidacy. Your training will enable me to develop my skills, anchor my know-how and prepare myself for the functions of a researcher participating in high-tech programs.

I now wish to contribute to the development and improvement of environmental institutions in my country by pursuing my research in the management of water and soil resources for sustainable development.

Obtaining this degree seems essential to facilitate my entry into the working life. It will allow me to expand my knowledge in water resources management for life, gain more professional experience and become more versatile in the field of environment, water resources and sanitation.

Based on the information provided above, I would ask you to reconsider my candidacy by giving me an unconditional offer of admission into the full Doctoral program to develop my theoretical and practical knowledge in water resources management or related program. An access to this program will allow me to work in open collaboration with leading international water resources technical experts with the aim to broaden and deepen my professional knowledge in this strategic area of sustainable development.
