1). General Information of the Dormitory of Peking University
The dormitory of Peking University is divided into five residential areas: Yanyuan, Changchunyuan, Global Village, Yuanmingyuan and Wanliu Apartment. The students in each dormitory area usually have different majors and degrees. The students in Yanyuan are almost undergraduates and academic masters; Changchunyuan is mainly filled by doctoral students. Most of the students living in Global Village are international students; Most students in Wanliu Apartments are professional master students. Besides, Shaoyuan Guest House is also the place where foreign scholars and students are received on the campus of Peking University.
Therefore, the dormitories of different specifications and conditions of Peking University are mainly concentrated in Global Village and Shaoyuan Guest House. Global Village is outside the east gate of the University, while Shaoyuan is inside the University. According to the official hostel information of Peking University, the reference price of accommodation of Peking University is about 35,000 yuan per academic year and the actual cost of PKU dorm fee is changeable.
The types of scholarships that international students of Peking University can apply for include Peking University Scholarship, Beijing Government Scholarship, and Chinese Government Scholarships. If your scholarship covers accommodation, you don't have to worry about the dormitory prices of Peking University. If your scholarship does not cover the dormitory fee or you are a self-funded student, you usually need to book and pay for the PKU accommodation by yourself. Due to the limited vacancy, the school can’t guarantee university accommodation for all students, first-apply first served. Priority will be given to early bird applicants who apply and complete the online tuition payment early. When there are few vacant rooms, the school does not even provide any accommodation for self-financed students at Peking University. 2). Peking University Dormitory 1：PKU Global Village
Address: No. 126 North Zhongguancun Street, Haidian, Beijing (10 mins walking to PKU main campus). Rooms in Building 2-6 of PKU Global Village are for international students which cost about 80 yuan per day per student. Room Choices: 2 or 3 single bedrooms with shared living room and bathroom. There are study rooms, canteens, gymnasiums, cafes, convenience stores, and so on. Check-in is at the Reception Desk of Building No. 4.

3). Peking University Dormitory 2：Shaoyuan Guest House
No. 6-9 building of Shaoyuan is used to receive international students and guests at home and abroad. There are 206 apartments for international students. Check-in is at the Reception Desk of Building No. 7. Room Choices: 2 single bedrooms with shared living room and bathroom.

4). How to Book the Dormitory of Peking University
Please book Accommodation according to the reservation procedure. Given that the available rooms are limited, the booking will be first come first served, and a certain amount of deposit is required. You can first check the information on room type, room price, and the number of rooms available. Then based on your personal preference and provided room information, select a room type, and submit the reservation application (along with your personal information) within the opening hours of the reservation system. After that, you need to wait for the staff to process the application. When “Status: confirmed” is displayed in the system, please “pay the advance deposit” within three working days to complete the reservation process. Booking applications that fail to pay the deposit on time will be automatically cancelled. The reservation fee will not be returned when the reservation and payment are successfully made.
If the dormitory reservation is not open, please check the latest notice on the website or contact the school by a call for relative information. You may ask: do I must book a dormitory by myself? The answer is "No". If you are a Yuke Experimental Class student, the school will directly arrange a double room for you, students do not need to apply by themselves. Please pay attention to the teacher's notice when you don't know what to do with the dorm.
