Yunnan University is among the largest and oldest universities in China. The faculty is renowned and the university is well known around the world. And the modern infrastructure is only surpassed by the university's prestige. The university is well represented by its alums around the world and I would very much like to be a part of it.

The university offers Chinese language courses that are to my liking. The standards of accommodation is good and the cost of the fees and accommodation are well within my budget. I have heard good reviews from students who have studied in the university.

Kunming is easily accessible from India. The cost of living is considerably lower than the bigger cities. The city is small enough that I can travel around fairly easily without my own means of transportation. The climate is mild and reflects my own hometown of Bangalore. So I am looking forward to making Kunming my new home for the foreseeable future.
