Tsinghua University is among the highest ranked technical universities in the world. Even among American universities, it is difficult to find graduate programs that combine an understanding of algorithm development and computational efficiency, as well as machine learning, information systems and data analysis. On top of that, I am interested in areas that I can benefit the most people. I have, since my interest in mathematics, statistics and data analysis, have tried to involve myself in research and work in environmental and health sciences. At Tsinghua, I will be working to get involved with the bioinformatics and genomics department.
