My name is Syed Hussain Raza Moosavi, I am Pakistani citizen living in Karachi, Pakistan. My interest in Geology has been developed since the age of 10 years when I saw my uncle who was determining the factors of earth quake and collecting data and developing reasons of earth quake and discussing it with my father. I realised that this field fascinates me and I start searching on internet about it. Soon I found that study in such field is Earth Sciences and people who study and perform their jobs in this area are called geologists Being geologist has always been my ultimate goal and a desire to master from a reputed institute was my aim. Selecting China university of Petroleum, Beijing has caught my eye as the area of studies is available in the university. The repute of university and its ranking has played vital role but the design of study and faculty has got my decision towards the institute. The rich history of successful graduates adds value to the university. The new concepts and techniques that has influenced my choice to involve are the broad spectrum of studies available in this program. A combined degree in both Minerals and Applied Geophysics would provide me the skills and knowledge to fulfil my long-term ambition of Being Geologist and my interest and involvement with Geology has been high and by studying geology at bachelors Level, this hands on experience has been reinforced by learning new concepts and theories During my summer break between school and college I travelled to different geologist centres and did some voluntary work where I helped out in understanding how basic concepts actually work in real world. It’s my strong personal belief that success lies through education, and in today’s world, knowledge about the desired area will lead to success. I have decided to study Geology at your institution because Beijing is a great and beautiful city, I remember the first time I have seen a documentary that was captured in Beijing on Television in 2012 Since then I have decided that I will do my Further education from this city in China. If I am given the chance to continue my studies here I promise to be of good behaviour as usual and to help your university reach its strategic goal and objectives. After my successful complexion, I am excited about the prospect of turning my current knowledge base into real expertise, and I believe that a degree would be the ideal opportunity to do this as a precursor to gaining professional experience. If my application is granted I will be very delighted and look forward to been part of the envious history of China University of Petroleum as I have heard so many great and wonderful things about your university.
