My research interest towards higher studies on “High Strength Fibre Reinforced Concrete with Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) for Sustainable Civil Engineering Construction Works.” I have selected this topic because concrete is the third largest material consumed by human beings after food and water as per year according to World Health Organization (WHO) and it might be considering the prime material in the construction field. Additionally I will use Fly ash (FA), coconut fiber (CF) and coconut Fiber ash (CFA), metakaolin to strengthen of the concrete. Fly ash (FA), which is a waste product from coal based power plant and progressively this sort of wastes are increasing day by day due to rapid industrialization as well as growth of agricultural sectors to support the demand of the people. To get the benefits in terms of ecological, economical and technical condition in recent time use of this waste product in producing composite materials has been increased. In this research work, an attempt is made to utilize fly ash and metakaolin in concrete as a replacement for binding materials so that effective utilization of waste material is possible and demand of cement can be reduced to some extent. And if the demand of cement is being reduced automatically generation of CO2 will be decreased. On the other hand natural fiber such as coconut fiber (CF) has certain physical and mechanical characteristics which can be utilize effectively to enlarge additional strength to the concrete and also I will use coconut fiber ash that can be produced with the help of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) which is a chemical activator in this research. The reasons of using these wastages are disposing of the coconut fiber in the land will posses’ serious problem for human being as well as the environment. A suitable alternative is needed so that disposal should not be a threat to the environment. In varying percentage of coconut fiber and coconut fiber ash is being used as a maximum replacement of cement as fiber reinforcement and binding materials. And the study on mechanical properties will be made to determine the optimum replacement which improves the strength characteristics of concrete. I choose China to complete my education because China is the place where updated research activities are taking place in various fields of civil and Materials Engineering and other Sciences. Some interesting research is being conducted by well renowned faculty members of Chinese university on materials engineering fields and I would like to be a part of that. After completion of my graduate studies in China, I would like to come back to Bangladesh and work as a researcher and faculty member of a university in Bangladesh. As a faculty member, my intention would be to disseminate the knowledge of my post graduate degree to my students therefore, aiding to make my country as well as this world a better place. I would also want to invent new, effective and low-cost technologies with the knowledge in my research area for my country. And if I can achieve above mentioned goal I will consider my career a success. I am aware that Chinese University expects very high standards from its students. On my part, I can assure you of hard work and honesty. I believe that my enthusiasm will enable me to meet those expectations. My consistency in all previous academic and co-curricular activities is what gives me confidence when I say this.
