For as long as I held my interest in international trade and economics, my attention has been fixed on Shenzhen University. Not to mention its location in China, I find it to be an ideal institution in which to continue my education because it has many enthusiastic professors who can actively nourish the future scholars with both knowledge and sense of practicality. The work of these professors extends far beyond the boundary of the college and into the actual world, such as United Nations and the World Bank. And the professors who have constantly exerted positive influences on our working industry can guide me in the right direction with their wisdom gained from the actual working sites. Such privilege is also complemented with the various courses offered at Shenzhen University, which fills the students with knowledge and supports the vision of international trade and its economy. Building a strong foundation through its unique selection of courses, I can also strengthen my competency through Shenzhen University’s intensive Chinese language program. For the elements of an international trade call for effective communication skills, foreign language is a critical tool that will serve as a catalyst in my future career. And all of the preparation can be put into practice during the internships, through which I can acquire a glimpse into the quickly evolving industry. As an active member of our future world, where boundaries between the countries will have faded into the background, I hope to take the first step in my education at Shenzhen University.
