I chose this university for several reasons. First of all, it is located in Beijing, a city rich of tradition and history. Secondly, it offers a remarkable variety of courses based on the students' level, as well as an interesting cultural programme (visiting programmes to the Beijing Opera, the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, but also Kung fu and chinese culture lessons etc.). Furthermore, I also noticed that the Beijing Normal University offers courses of law, a field I am very interested in, since I graduated in law and I am specializing in company law for my Ph.D. three-years course. I hope I can improve my chinese communicative skills, as well as my chinese legal skills for my Ph.D research project (by, for example, speaking with some Professors at the University).
