With this letter, I would like to briefly introduce myself as well as my study plan. My name is Nino Bregvadze and I am a graduate of the Department of International Relations at the Free University of Tbilisi, Georgia. I was very pleased to find the opportunity to continue my studies in China with the help of the scholarship provided by Chinese Government. As mentioned above, my undergraduate degree focuses on International Relations and Chinese Language. Through my studies I became fascinated with oriental, especially Chinese culture. In 2008 I won the annual language competition in Chinese language and spent one year in China. The experience of living in Tianjin has given me a broader view of the world and the ability to adapt to a different culture which every international student must possess. I have a blend of two contrasting lifestyles, and my thoughts, ideas and actions reflect this blend. As for my working experience, since my return from China, I have always worked with Chinese companies. Currently, I work for China Southern Airlines as an Administrative Manager. This enables me to utilize my language skills on a daily basis. Concerning my study plan, I would like to continue my studies in the same filed and obtain Master’s Degree in International Relations. During my studies I will concentrate on International Relations and International Economics. This is the main reason I decided to take the opportunity to study in one of the Chinese universities. The world’s one of the biggest state as well as economy, China is a very interesting place to study IR. I would like to study in depth how China managed to gain success and become one of the leading economies in the world with amazing annual growth rate. It is a well-known fact that China’s as a state’s structural organization and its prosperous economic system are quite contradictory. However, as one can see it works in reality. I would like to learn what mechanisms were used to reach this goal: whether it became possible with the help of governmental institutions and offices. How can a state have such a huge economy without practicing principals of laissez-faire and free market, everything on what rests capitalism, at large. More importantly, at present, there are ongoing negotiations held between Georgian and Chinese governments to establish Free Trade Zone. Therefore, Georgia is China’s strategic partner and this once again intensifies my will to study in China International Economics and IRs. I believe that with my knowledge I will be a valuable asset in establishing even stronger ties between these two countries. I am a very strong and diligent person. From the early years I became only bread-winner for my family. After my father passed away, all burdens I carried alone. But I am not afraid of difficulties neither at work nor in lifetime. My desire to better myself is my main priority. To my mind, education, work experience, skill set and personality make me a suitable candidate to be given the chance to continue my studies in China. I am motivated to invest my knowledge in the future development of my country that I am deeply confident will need many professionals of my filed to better manage its relations with China.
