After exploring several universities in China, I choose Jiangsu University for the following reasons: First: The availability and the quality of education under my chosen program: I like to experiment, discover and try out something. By choosing this program I am confident that I will be able to further pursuit my discovery endeavor in not only chemistry but also in other area such as science, engineering, biochemistry and much more. I reviewed the course content and compared it to other school noting the depth and the broad range of classes was more appealing compare to other schools. Having being exposed to chemistry and science before, I’m confident that my background has well prepared me for this learning path. I also like the fact that at Jiangsu University, School of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, the program is well structured and followed by competent personnel who cares about the success of their students. Second: Reference from a close family member: I have the privileged to be a relative of a particular who is currently attending a university in China. He shared with me that the school offer him more than what he had thought when he applied in the universty. He noted that the quality of the staff and professors is well admired and student get the one on one attention to succeed in their journey which is something I had not experience in my school career. Knowing that the school at Jiangsu University care about the success is strong motivation for me because I believe I will be in good hand. He also noted that coming from a foreign land he discover how friendly local students were and their willingness to help for his integration really gave him the additional assurance that he could succeed. Knowing that I have a support person already there increases my level of confidence that Jiangsu University is the right place, and several steps for my integration will be reduced which will allow me to focus directly into the study. Third: Diversity of the student body population: I reviewed the learning experience from international student noting not only how diverse they are but also the great experience they are having in the school. They feel included and are not limited by the language. Knowing that they are foreigners like me give me this confidence that Jiangsu University thrive in a global economy and prepare students to bring change to the world. Four: Competitive cost: The cost to study at Jiangsu was also a deciding factor as I found the cost very competitive compared to many other schools. Coming from a moderate family background, I found this to a good fit and within my family budget. Firth: Passion for continuous learning: I have an ongoing passion for study which does not stop to grow. After navigating through the programs curriculum, I’m confident that Jiangsu University will support me on this path. I read everything because there is always something new that we have to learn. Despite the challenge of the language, I believe that this challenge will shape us for a stronger future, and I am ready to handle an intense academic community with my passion.
