Among undergraduate students, applicants for Chinese language major need to take and interview and applicants for other majors should take written exam and interview. Written exams include Test of General Ability (TOGA), essay, Mathematics or English. Those who applied for exemption from written examination do not need to sit for written exams, they must, however, be interviewed. Applicants who cannot come to BNU for interview can apply for long-distance interview which will be done online.
As for applicants for graduate students, some faculties or departments may wish to organize interviews after application documents have been reviewed if it is necessary.
