I have already had a chance to study in China and I've learned Chinese well enough to start doing technical translations from Chinese to Russian (not the other way around, sadly). Yet, after a few years I've spent outside China, I feel that my overall level of Chinese (especially speaking, and, most importantly, hand writing—not that I have much chance to practice it) is degrading. So, I hope for an opportunity to brush up on all these skills and learn some new ones to apply them in my professional life!

As for the choice of Myanyang, as evident from the list of universities I've already studied Chinese at, I only had a chance to experience life in the coastal regions of China, and one can't possibly appreciate a whole picture just by looking at one part of it. Besides, I know about Myanyang ranked the third in the list of Chinese cities most comfortable for life, and, well, I love mountains (my home place lacks, alas) and spicy food (not much of this here, either).
