Ni hao, (hello), I am a very young energetic Ghanaian citizen who completed University of cape coast,Ghana, in the year 2011.Prior to the acquisition of my bachelor's degree, I was also holding Ghanaian teacher's license certificate 'A' three year post secondary. I am currently teaching Economics in one of the Senior High Schools in the country. As someone who is dedicated, co-operative, demonstrates ability for systematic and analytical thinking and always wishes to climb to the highest pedestal, academically, it has become very expedient to select Nanjing Agricultural University as my utmost institution of choice for my post graduate study. As someone who has taught for more than a decade, I always aim at making preference to institutions that boast of high academic excellence of which Nanjing Agricultural University is enumerated among. One would ask, why not any other country other than China? Yes. The reason is very simple so far as my choice is concerned. Ghanaian population is fast growing at an alarming rate which is having a negative repercussion on our limited resources and the environment as a whole and as a will-be post graduate student from China, I want to further my education to the level that will help me find antidote to this social problem bedeviling my nation. China, which is one of the most populated countries in the world, yet, has been able to curb this problem has warranted me to select China as my best place of choice and for that matter Nanjing Agricultural University. I see this University as the right place of choice for my anticipated study. Why? this is because it recognizes the world's dependence on academic and research for international students. This will foster global perspective and competence in my career. These attributes are essential preparation for my professional success in the increasingly complex and rapid world. Moreover, my study at Nanjing Agricultural University will encourage mutual and global co-operation between China and my country, Ghana. According to the renowned educationalist, Dr. Kwegyir Aggrey, "To produce a harmonious sound on a Piano, you need to play black and white keys together", this implies that having studied in the tropics for my certificate and degree programmes, I need to pursue my Masters programme in a different country. My study in Nanjing Agricultural University will assist me to: - Acquire new knowledge, ideas, technological skills, aptitude and research base information, study what differences exist between the two worlds, specifically, China and Ghana. -know how I would help to identify and tap the resources my country is endowed with in other to commensurate the rapid population growth rate of my country, Ghana. These reasons together with others are triggering me to apply for a Masters programme in 'Population, Resource and Environmental Economics' at Nanjing Agricultural University I emphasize that the Nanjing Agricultural University is the right choice, the right place that can provide the right postgraduate programme which will empower me to master my professional skills, awareness on mainstreaming gender, enriching and increasing the human capacity, material, physical, resource base, the community awareness on controlling population and equitable distribution of resources as well as protecting the environment.
