My journey as a legal professional started long before having the membership in Dhaka Bar Association when I have joined Attorneys, a Legal and Management Consultant right after the completion of my LL.B Honors in University of Dhaka. I have practically worked in numerous cross border international commercial issues especially with some of the companies and buyers based in China, United Kingdom, United States and some other European Countries which involve extensive research and study relating to Business rules and regulations, arbitration process and other regulatory issues of those countries. During my two years working tenure in Attorneys I have gathered experience in various spheres of corporate legal services, corporate finance, commercial law, Banking and Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Dispute Settlement issues etc. During the period of employment my main areas of focus were documentation and research related to corporate financing issues, cross border commercial disputes, labor and industrial law, contract management, company law, business consultancy etc. In dealing with aforesaid matters I gathered knowledge in various aspects of International business standards and Government regulations in European Union. Our chamber is also engaged in extending supports to Chinese and European investors who wish to set up their businesses in Bangladesh therefore we are an investment consultant also apart from our legal and management consultancy. As an associate in such a law chamber I had to take part in the up to date process of incorporating a foreign company having origin abroad which involves various complicated steps. In doing so I came in contact with various administrative bodies like Board of Investment, Securities and Exchange Commission, Tax Authorities, Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms, Export processing Zones authority, Customs authority and their rules and regulations governing the entire business set up in our country. A growing number of investors from China and European Union have shifted their focus on Bangladesh for setting up their business as the government regulation and other regulatory laws in Bangladesh are flexible for the foreign investors. There are numerous lucrative factors to invest in Bangladesh for Chinese and EU investors among which affordable labor cost is mentionable. Again Government of Bangladesh is also considering the review of existing framework for foreign investment in Bangladesh and endeavoring to make it more relaxed so that the foreign investors feel encouraged about investing in Bangladesh. In view of the aforesaid steps taken by Bangladesh Government it can easily be assumed that scopes are being widened for the business co-operation between China and Bangladesh. In this perspective it became important for the investment consultants to have adequate knowledge regarding business management, financial regulation, business policy, international trade policy, export and import policy, legal framework to establish a business entity of different countries etc. I have encountered difficulties while dealing with the Chinese Economic Policy, system of Governance, trade and investment Policy etc. Considering my endeavor to study and analyze the business environment and policy in China, world’s largest economy, I have made up my mind to go for Master of Business Administration in China as a significant number of our clients have their business relation with China. Now the question may arise why I have chosen the MBA Programme in Jiangsu University. Before starting to apply in Jiangsu University, I have taken a view of over 10-12 universities in China. I have gathered ample experience about the student life and culture in different cities of China. Geographical location, affordable living conditions are the prime factors behind choosing Jiangsu University. MBA program in Jiangsu University is also prestigious degree for the lawyers in Bangladesh. It was my desire to receive a dignified degree in the field of Business Administration with an enormous career prospects and I am assured that Jiangsu University is the appropriate place for achieving that goal. The course modules also attracted me to apply in the MBA program. I have numerous options to choose from among the wide range of courses which is a great advantage for me.

Teaching methods in Jiangsu University and experienced faculties are also the factors behind applying into this University. In addition some of my fellow class mates and my juniors in my Department in University of Dhaka are already studying there China. So it would be a great advantage for me to adapt with the new environment in a new place.

Apart from the reasons aforesaid I should mention here that I have successful and sound academic track records with competitive results. I was involved with a range of extracurricular activities alongside my academic study. Especially I have the experience to organize seminar in our department premises titled “Challenges in Business of the Young Lawyers”. I have also participated in various sporting and cultural events arranged by our department. Considering those qualities above I think myself eligible for studying in an institution like Jiangsu University.
