Yes, you can apply to Chinese universities as an international student as long as you meet the following requirements:
1. According to Article 5 of the Nationality Law of the People's Republic of China, if both or one of the parents are Chinese citizens and have settled in a foreign country if the person has a foreign nationality at birth, he does not have Chinese nationality. From 2021 onwards, if they apply to enter our colleges and universities as an international student to study at the junior college stage, in addition to meeting other application qualifications of the school, they should also hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for more than 4 years (inclusive), and the most recent 4 years Have a record of actually living in a foreign country for more than 2 years within the year (before April 30 of the year of admission) (the actual living in a foreign country for 9 months in a year can be counted as one year, and the entry and exit stamps shall prevail).

1. Applicants who have given up their Chinese citizenship and become foreign citizens should submit:
(1) A certificate of annulment of Chinese citizenship.
(2) A certificate to prove foreign citizenship.
(3) The exit and entry records on their passports (period: from April 30th, 2018 to April 30th, 2022).
2. Applicants who have acquired foreign nationality at birth, both of whose parents are Chinese citizens and have settled abroad, or either of whose parents is a Chinese citizen and has settled abroad, should submit the following materials:
(1) A certificate to prove that the applicant obtained foreign citizenship at birth.
(2) A certificate of permanent residence of the applicant’s parents (Chinese citizens) in a foreign country before the applicant’s birth.
(3) The exit and entry records on their passports (period: from April 30th, 2018 to April 30th, 2022).
