When I state that what brought me to apply for this scholarship as:  I am desired to apply for this Scholarship for I am from developing country, Ethiopia and there is shortage of PhD in statistics. However, I need Excellence in Research, Science and Creativity, Outstanding educational system based on solid notions, scientific method and creative approach, Development of complex problem solving, critical thinking and flexibility, Wide offer of courses also in English in a dynamic and pleasant environment. And also I have a desire to work for the achievement of a prosperous, integrated and peaceful Africa.  I am motivated and applying for this scholarship for I found this will be the only way to assure the goals outlined near above paragraphs.  Hence, I believed to do so from this University as it is worthy of mentioning and due to my educational background as I was an outstanding student in both my bachelor and master’s degrees. Thus, I was First Class Honor’s and my scores in both bachelor and master’s degrees out of 4.00 are 3.65 and 3.57, respectively, which will be testified in my CV.  My exceptional ability is vested in course work activities like complicated course problems which other students face difficulties expected to be my work with extraordinary grading like A+ (in 3 courses in my bachelor degree and in 2 courses in my master’s degree which was not typed due to the software registrar used) and in research work I applied a new methodology which was not used by many researchers in my country here.  I have been teaching or working as University Instructor since 2011. I have been teaching different Statistics courses both at undergraduate and graduate level at Wachemo University. I have strong background in Probability theory and mathematical statistics as I learnt the theories, principles, techniques, algorithms, methods, and different approaches both in undergraduate and postgraduate or masters as different courses level. Furthermore, I have used different new approaches for my master’s thesis and I have been teaching different probability and statistics courses for undergraduate students the courses like Probability and Statistics, Probability theories, Probability and random process and others, not mentioned here. For graduate classes I have also been teaching the courses like Generalized Linear Models, Epidemiology, Design of Experiments, Longitudinal Data Analysis, and Survival Data Analysis. I have also good knowledge about statistical software packages like R, SAS, STATA, SPSS, Ephionfo, and Epideta. The graduating courses I have been giving for three consecutive semesters with 2, 3, 4, 3, 3, course credit hours, respectively. I am also currently working in the position as acting Coordinator for the University’s Students social services.  My research interest has been circulated around the areas like Survival data analysis, longitudinal data analysis, GLMM, Design of Experiments. However, it is also possible to extend and shift to more mathematical approaches or theories as stochastic approach or others here in after. I have been publishing different journals under the above mentioned areas. Some of them are: 1. Statistical Analysis of CD4+ Cell Counts progression of HIV-1-positive Patients enrolled in Antiretroviral Therapy at Hossana District Queen Elleni Mohamad Memorial Hospital, South Ethiopia (Published, January 09, 2016). 2. Survival Analyses of Determinants of Breast Cancer Patients at Hossana Queen Elleni Mohamad Memorial Hospital, South Ethiopia (Accepted for publication, done in recognition of Wachemo University, April-October, 2017). Though not listed here, there are also papers published which may be testified up on the request. Generally, I have been conducting researches on the focus area of the problems like correlation, over dispersion, in the case of count and repeatedly measured outcomes just by using models over coming or handling these features simultaneously. By near future, I will focus on binary and multinomial outcome variables which are repeatedly measured and may or may not be associated with event of interest in the Longitudinal, Survival, GLM settings. And also I would like to make my Synopsis on this setting. For more detail information and testimony, I will enclose all my credentials if requested.
