I like to learn Mandarin Chinese. I'm originally from South Korea and live/work in Seattle, Washington US more than 10 years. I'm working Non-profit Health Center located in China town (International district) Seattle, everyday I meet lots of Chinese patients and I have been self study .I know most pin yin sounds and some basic words and grammers and thinking about this kind of program will be benefit for my Chinese language skills also learn more about culture. I am interested 4 weeks program this fall/winter during my paid vacation time from my work. I mentioned my plan to my boss, and she is very supportive of my plan. I know 4 weeks won't be enough to improve a lot but I can get participate intense program and will give ne motivation to continue to study even after when I come back to Seattle. I checked on-line for short term Language program and found out Beijing Foreign studies University. I asked to my Chinese friends in Seattle about this school. All of them told me this is very nice school and Beijing should be perfect place for me.
