I am applying for MSc in Applied Informatics at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. I am very much interested in areas such as Object-Oriented Programming, Software Methods and Software Architecture. I developed interest in such areas during my undergraduate studies at The University of Malawi. MSc in Informatics shall also introduce me to new areas such as computational methods in finance and social web programming which shall broaden my understanding and knowledge in IT. Given chance, I am eager to work hard in all the courses offered including the dissertation so that I obtain first class or second upper class. This shall testify my capability to study this programme.
I am working as a lecturer in Information Technology hence my experience has compelled to continually study not only areas I learnt during undergraduate studies but also new areas relevant for the modules I lecture. As a Chinese University, I expected to be rendered with excellent service as an international student.
After my master’s degree, I am keen to continue with doctorate education at the same university. I am sure that this university offers high quality education and research that shall enhance my career and employability as well.
