My name is Rehema W Nyamajeje from Tanzania one of the third world country and I would like to apply to the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) Program at your Dalian Medical University. I completed my Ordinary secondary education examination in division ONE in November, 2015 at Heritage Secondary School after attaining the following performance: CIVICS B; HISTORY B; GEOGRAPHY- B; KISWAHILI- C; ENGLISH- B; PHYSICS- C; CHEMISTRY- B; BIOLOGY- A and BASIC APPLIED MATHEMATICS- C. In May, 2018 sat for an Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) at Alpha High Secondary School in Division TWO and the following were the detailed particulars of my performance: GENERAL STUDIES- D; PHYSICS- D; CHEMISTRY- C; BIOLOGY- D and BASIC APPLIED MATHEMATICS- D. Language of medium instruction from Nursery medium school to High secondary school was English. I started off thinking I wanted to go into Medicine because of my interest in Science and my fascination with the way in which the human body functions and the ever-increasing knowledge about how to keep its systems in balance My main reason was because I saw critical illness within my family at a young age and felt pretty much helpless at the time. I saw the work of doctors and other healthcare professionals who more or less saved the lives of some of the most important people in my life. Therefore, I couldn't think of a more valuable or fulfilling or personally meaningful career for me. I want to be a doctor because it is the best and highest pursuit of a life’s work for someone who loves solving problems, relating to and being encompassed by stories of humanity, and is a curious interrogator of data. I believe that I have the necessary background qualifications of ordinary and advanced high secondary school education required by your university. I am with good health and without criminal record. It is for this reason that I’m applying to the Dalian Medical University, as it has one of the top programs for pediatric surgery in the country, as well as several renowned researchers delving into the social, generational, and cultural questions in which is the best fit for my wish. My approach to medicine will be multidisciplinary, which is evidenced by the fact that I’m already double-majoring in early childhood psychology. Luckily, also the Dalian university is among the list of medical universities in China offering scholarships for international students. It is my hope that your university will offer a scholarship so that my dream to pursue a medical degree and become a Doctor comes true as it was always a childhood dream to become a doctor. Medicine is a career driven by service. It carries the unique opportunity to help others through communication and commitment. It is the chance to develop relationships with patients and engage in problem-solving that requires me to adapt on a case-by-case basis. Yet these challenges allow for me to become a student of my profession, continually striving to learn more and become the best doctor that I can be. China's heavy investment in education has resulted in provision of high quality education and its universities have high reputation which makes a great aspiration to the students and professionals for the better career perspectives. Medical schools in China are recognized by World Health Organization and China Medical education is ranked at 4th by recent WHO survey, Medical degree recognized globally. Studying in China especially Dalian Medical University there is a possibility to get a MBBS scholarship or some fee waiver within my studies. Also studying MBBS in China could be seen as advantage to obtain scholarship for postgraduate studies because I will be already familiar with Chinese medical education system and familiar with living style and environment in general. I believe that Dalian Medical University will be the answer to my challenges facing as it is equipped with scientific research, managerial and technical skills needed to deal with challenges many Doctors are facing. Being a medical doctor is really great. In ten years I want to be a key player in the health care debate in my country and offering innovative solutions to delivering high quality and cost-effective health care to all our nation’s citizens, especially to those in rural and otherwise underserved areas. In short, I see the role of physicians in society as multifunctional: they are not only doctors who heal, they are also leaders, innovators, social scientists, and patriots. In conclusion, I would like to add that the essence of University education lies in the synergetic relationship between the student and his department. I feel that graduate study at your University will be the most logical extension of my academic pursuits and a major step towards achieving my objectives.
