As far as East China Normal University is one of the oldest universities in China, which used to focus on preparing specialists in teaching, including language teaching, I suppose that East China Normal University is a perfect choice for a foreign student who is aiming to go deep in studying Chinese language. To my mind, studyng in one of the most famous classical universities in China also will help a lot in exploring Chinese culture and Chinese traditions.
