It was ever since my parents sat my seven year-old self down at our dining table and began to discuss the importance of why foreign countries hold the key to a bright future that I have decided I would apply to places that I believe can change my life and perspective all at once. Since childhood, the prospects and aspirations to study overseas have been instilled in me by my devoted parents time and time again. What is the most paramount option for my advanced education you may ask yourself? China of course! China is a place of contrasts and culture, where ancient buildings sit alongside contemporary architecture. My biggest ambition in life is to be accepted into one of the most prestigious universities in China which in this case for me, is Jiangsu University.
As soon as I was enlightened about the university and the programs it offered by one of the campus representatives, I fell in love with it completely! It was ingrained at the back of my head that no other university would ever be more fitting for the courses I intend to study. Apropos to the courses I have chosen to study, it has always been a dream of mine to study Medicine in hopes of becoming a Doctor in the foreseeable future. And what better place to further advance my knowledge regarding this field than the Jiangsu University itself. This University, without a doubt, made an ineffaceable impression on my mind in every possible way. From the learning programs it provides to the breathtaking campus to the student's union for entertainment. As for the on-campus accommodation, all I have to say is that it is absolutely spectacular!
My goal in life is to become, as I have mentioned previously, a Doctor. Reading and learning about both this field have sparked an obsession in me that cannot be put into words! This field greatly fascinates me, giving rise to the many questions and curiosities that I have about the universe as whole. As a doctor, I want to be able to cure people of various illnesses and learn more about the human body and why it is what it is. I want to be able to think quickly and out of the box at times of a traumatic experience. For these goals to be put into action, I first and foremost aim to graduate with a degree in MBBS and I KNOW that Jiangsu University can transform this dream into a reality.
As for why I have firmly decided on studying in China, it is because China has become one of the top destinations to study around the world. With traditions of excellence dating back hundreds of years, high class institutions- such as Jiangsu University- in every corner and much more flexibility than many other countries, China has so much to offer ambitious international students such as myself that other English-speaking countries cannot offer. China has many job opportunities which is very vital for students to acquire basic knowledge and understanding once we have completed our education. Apart from its quality educational system and wide range of offers, China is known for its multicultural society, what with all faiths and religion being represented and celebrated in some way. With a racial, ethnic and religious jumble, China is open to new traditions and cultures- something that is extremely great for students from other countries! Especially a mixed-race girl like myself. So, it goes without saying that the cultural diversity of life In Chinese higher education is unrivalled. The historical landmarks as well as other tourist attractions are an amazing bonus and just add to the list of why selecting China for studies is the most appropriate option for an avid student such as yours truly! I believe studying in China, along with the life-changing experience it provides, will help me progress towards a successful career.
With all this being said, I genuinely and wholeheartedly want to bring about a positive change to this world and invest myself completely as well as my time into bringing about such a change. Moreover, I strongly believe being accepted into a university such as yours, what with being held in such high regards, will help me learn and understand more about myself and others around me a whole lot better than I already do. I want to make something of myself that will truly make my parents, and me, proud as well as inspire others like myself that nothing is beyond reach until and unless you do not strive for it. I sincerely have confidence that Jiangsu University and studying in China entirely will help that become possible. Being a part of such an institution can and will drastically expand my learning horizons and many opportunities that follow thereafter. All I wish to ask for is that you take a chance on me that you truly WILL NOT regret!
