Turkey has a population of 75 million, a growing and developing economy, a geo-strategic position in the middle of the African-Eurasian mainland. It has historical, political and cultural ties with European, Black Sea, Caucasus, Asian, Middle Eastern and African countries and is increasingly active in the international arena, especially in the United Nations. It is one of the key members of organizations such as NATO, AGIT and CICA. It is also an actor country that is becoming more important in the international arena with its active foreign policy that it has recently developed. On the other hand, with its surface area and its populations becoming nearly 1,3 billion, the progress it achieved in industrialization and technology, its growing and developing economy, natural resources, its veto power in the United Nations, its strategic position in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the People's Republic of China is a country that has grown rapidly with the strategies that it has recently developed in foreign policy, is a country with which the world makes a great effort to establish partnerships and is a powerful country that I am interested in and admire. The Turkish-Chinese Relations have a long-established historical background through the Silk Road. The Silk Road, which holds the title of being the first intercontinental trade route, is extremely important in terms of human and economic history with this feature. It played a major role in not only transporting commercial goods but also in transporting cultures from the East to the West . The ongoing relationship between Turkey and People's Republic of China moved to a higher point with the strategic cooperation document approved by the prime ministers of both countries in 2010. Furthermore, China is one of Turkey's largest trade partners. Together with the Modern Silk Road project (One-generation One Way), which was first announced by the President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping in 2013, the People's Republic of China has become a country that is highly spoken and their bilateral relations have gained utmost importance. Because Turkey is one of the most important destination points of this new Silk road project, starting from China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, and reaching out to Rome through Greece. The news made about this in our country caused me to have a special interest in the People's Republic of China. I would like to have my graduate's degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering from one of the universities in the People's Republic of China whose culture and language I love and admire. Furthermore, after my graduation, I hope to be in a position where I can contribute to the relations between the two countries. I hope I can make my Dream come true.
