Liaoning Shihua University (LSHU) has established itself as a centre of excellence in the Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering teaching. The number of schools and colleges that emerged from this process together with the achievement attained in the past five years, in terms of research projects and reception of 147 awards for science and technology at national, provincial and municipal levels is a strong sign of quality recognition. I choose a place where excellence is, because I want to be also excellent. Nowadays many countries over the world are discovering big quantities of petroleum and gas, so is mine. Technology and expertise to explore and process these resources are scarce. At Lianong University I can learn better and acquire the knowledge and ways of exploring and manage this resources and develop Mozambique. According to the World Bank (2015) Mozambique has the biggest natural gas reserves of Africa with an estimated volume of 100 trillions of cubic feet (2,8 trillion m³). Therefore I am preparing myself to be part of exploration of this wealth.
