Out of my findings this are what i discovered about the institution that motivated me to prefer the school. Tianjin University is popularly known for research and in 2012 the department of Environmental Engineering which I propose as my field of study was recognized by the Discipline Assessment and ranked 8 in position under the Ministry of Education. There are 4 international research center that are set-up in the school with aims to promote international collaboration with other university across the world. This are Joint International Research Laboratory of Promoting Building Energy Efficiency, China-Australia Center for sustainable Urban Development, The Sino-Singapore International Cooperation Center for Water Management and Center for Cabin Air Reformative Environment (CARE). Also the school of Environmental Engineering has 22 Professors alone out of 142 staffs. In addition to this the school has 8 Research Center including Water Pollution Treatment, Building Energy Conservation and Energy Utilization, Solid Waste and Biomass Energy, Atmospheric Haze and PM 2.5 Control, Ecological Restoration and Pollution Control Marine Environment and Coastal Ecological and etc. However, the school ensured on training talent and facilitating for research. Above all as the first modern University in the China as far back as 1895 it continue to uphold on its commitment on mission to sustain a standard academic record. In Conclusion the institution make it obvious that it doesn't only focus on studies alone but also give attentions to sport, culture and music that is so fascinating for me. As an international University it has meet with all my specifications and undoubtedly open to treat every students with integrity. The school fees is moderate and there is scholarships opportunity for both citizens and international students. Anyway, let me hope i have been able to convince you enough to admit with me why i choose Tianjin University for my PhD study.
