The progression of technology and the effects it has had on civilization has always fascinated me and generated within me a profound interest in the Sciences. More recently, I have begun to excel more in Biology than Chemistry or Physics, and this is where I wish to continue my studies. In my opinion, Biological Technologies are an important resource and are fast becoming more important to industry and medicine, as fields like Biomaterials and Genetics are developed. I believe that there are still many new and exciting discoveries waiting to be found, hidden within nature, and of beneficial use to humans and the environment. I want to be a part of the next discovery. From the start of my high school, I was interested in Biology along with Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. I always wanted to integrate these disciplines and help me develop solutions to the most difficult problems for humanity. Unfortunately, many students are not provided with the opportunity of getting the conjuncture of all these subjects. Moreover, in some colleges where students are provided with these combinations of subjects, only have a theoretical base but no practical experience, thus failing them in the practical world. Therefore, I wanted my education in this matter to be perfect. When I began to search for the platform that would provide me with the most suitable means to practice my research, I ended up on your University’s website. For the bachelor's program, I wanted an interactive and challenging way of combining theory and practice in courses, skills training and projects that can provide me with the required knowledge and skills to succeed in my master's programme and in my future career. For this, I chose MBBS. Your facilities are going to help me pursue my future projects on Molecular Genetics and Biomedical Engineering and will provide me with a chance to make a difference in medicine and biology. Your facility of Nanotechnology will give me a chance of expanding my research to its greatest limits. I have been told I am ambitious and an idealist, but the dreams of finding the cure to cancer and AIDS take away my sleep at night. I am particularly interested in stem cells and how it can be biologically modified in order to treat different mutations in an organism. As in Pakistan and in our world many people die of pancreatic cancer or a brain tumour, and the treatment costs a lot. I want to find more effective and efficient ways to diagnose these cancer cells internally in the body, without harming other organs, like making Nano-robots or synthetic cells to treat the mutation sites inside our body. After completing my undergraduate school, I want to continue my research projects and teach other students, the experience and knowledge that I have gained. Earning knowledge and being taught by reputable professors at your University will expand my knowledge and leverage it all into my future projects. I want to make a difference in this world and I believe the University can get me there. The University entails the concept of not only growing academically but also personally. It will allow me to pick my own courses, build my own particular research, and extend my intellectual comfort zone to beat all limits. Your University will be my first step to remove the ‘im’ from impossible.
