I am a goal driven, service directed individual who always attain excellence.
An issue I have seen that badly affects the country’s economy is brain drain. This country produces numerous intelligent and talented people but, then loses these human resources. I hope to attend University of the West Indies, Mona (UWI) to study medicine and to live here in Jamaica and provide my service to locals as my hands were made to provide greater service. Moreover, I have learnt that there are not much pathologists here in the country. Now becoming one would improve the speed of court cases, burial and more. In ten years, while practising or as a retirement plan, I would like to own a cattle farm and produce dairy products like cheese, milk, ice cream etc. for example in the government’s feeding program; coloured milks were provided and they were very much enjoyed by consumers and so I would like to reintroduce it. I also want to supply beef to local and international markets/restaurants and companies. This farm would earn foreign exchange due to exporting, provide jobs and most importantly provide food. Overall improving the country’s economy.
I chose this university because from online reviews, it is highly recommended, is number 1 in the country with the best pass rate
