I chose Zhejiang University for a number of reasons: - I intend to pursue studies in the field of Medicine. This has been my dream ever since I was a child. I've always been good at the Sciences, in particular Biology and Human and Social Biology, and I've always loved helping people. I decided early on in my life that I wanted to be a doctor and completing high school as a Science student and then a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, have only served to solidify my decision. I believe that the MBBS programme at Zhejiang University is just what I am looking for. I want to become a very competent physician and surgeon and better my part of the world by delivering excellent health-care to those in need. - Being from the Caribbean, I would love the opportunity to study in a different country, in a different part of the world. I have always been interested in Chinese culture; the martial arts, the medicine, the music, the history and the beautiful scenery. I believe that attending this university would be an invaluable opportunity for me to discover more about Chinese culture, while chasing my dream of becoming a doctor. - The tuition and fees are very reasonable. One of the biggest drawbacks of medical school all over the world, is cost. But upon looking at the fees for study at Zhejiang University, I was very impressed. I think that by making medical education affordable , the University is providing many individuals with the opportunity to follow their dreams without having to worry too much about expenses. - The University is well recognized, ranking among the top 100 universities in the world and among the best in China. There is the opportunity for me to do my internship in my home country and to take world-recognized licensing examinations such as the MCI, PMDC and USMLE upon completion of my degree. - The programme is in English. Being a native English speaker, I am very thankful that this programme in being offered in my language, giving me the opportunity to study in a different country but in my native tongue. I am truly looking forward to having a blast at Zhejiang University.
