The basic purpose of embarking on this study is due to the numerous degradation of the public health and massive health challenges in developing countries like Nigeria.
With awareness of the massive burden associated with neurological disorders came the recognition that neurological services and resources were disproportionately scarce, especially in low income and developing countries. Furthermore, a large body of evidence shows that policy-makers and health-care providers may be unprepared to cope with the predicted rise in the prevalence of neurological and other chronic disorders and the disability resulting from the extension of life expectancy and ageing of populations globally This knowledge piqued my interest to work on a dissertation that exposed me on how to manage the high level of Nigerian poor awareness and its remediation to public health challenges.
All these challenges motivated a big concern for my country and I felt that, for me to be competent and competitive; I will need a master’s degree, from an institution in the developed Institute (a well advanced countries), which I also believe can give me the state-of-the-art tools, development of innovative social welfare and health policies and remediate system to mitigate these high-ranking public health problem in Nigeria.
