From substantial amount of research this program is one of the best in the country. This university will be more challenging than others, while educating me further towards fluency in Mandarin Chinese. I've spent the last year teaching myself, and understand that I need the assistance from professionals who can guide me towards my dreams of mastering Chinese. I've been an English teacher in the United States for the last two years working with Chinese students in the English as a Second Language programs (ESL). One day I want to be able to speak with my friends without having as much trouble, and be able to understand everything. I don't have enough money to take such an expensive course as this and a scholarship would be very helpful. Also this university emphasizes on culture, which is most important, and an interest to me. As I learned and studied Chinese culture over the years own, I feel that Beijing Chinese Language and Culture would present a much more authentic curriculum. This would be a dream come true to live and study in china.
