Dear Shanghai Jiao Tong University,

I will finish my Bachelor’s degree in Political Science at the University of Copenhagen in June 2018. It is my dream to study a Masters of Business Administration at your university afterwards.

All my life I have wanted to go to China and discover more of your fascinating culture. I have many Chinese friends here in Denmark, some of whom have gone to Shanghai Jiao Tong University; I love Chinese music, food, movies etc. I am currently enrolled in a Mandarin Chinese course where I attempt to learn your beautiful language. I speak fluent Danish, English, Spanish, German, and a bit Chinese. But it is life in the Middle Kingdom that I find most interesting. Therefore, I obviously want to take my Master’s in China and hopefully at a well-known and respected university such as yours.

Specifically, I would like to undertake my Master’s degree in Business Administration, as it would be a good supplement to my current Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. I wish to become a well-rounded and multifaceted person who is able to work and thrive not only in the social sciences but in business too. I believe this will be crucial in the future where I see governments and big businesses cooperating in solving some of the world’s biggest problems such as climate change, terrorism, and international conflict.

Ideally, after having undertaken my degree at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, I would enjoy prolonging my stay in your country and I would be extremely interested in a career within areas such as academia, public administration, and business. I am a person with many interests, and I seek to exploit all of them in China at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
