Having studied Business studies for three years now, attending business studies events at Imperial college London and taking part of competitions such as BASE, I have truly developed a passion for the subject. The logical aspect of running a business is appealing to me and the mixture of themes associated to business studies such as economics, politics and sociology are all very attractive to me as well. Having lived in three different countries before the age of seventeen, my perspective of the world is constantly shifting and the opportunity to study abroad for university seems invaluable to me. It would be a fantastic opportunity to discover a foreign culture and learn a new language, since linguistics is one of my core strengths. Eastern Asian cultures have always fascinated me, and therefore it seemed obvious to me to apply to Asian universities after my high school curriculum. I have applied to universities such as Hong Kong university and Tokyo University, but I also wanted to apply to Shanghai university, since I believe that the opportunity to study in mainland China is one I should seize, and one that would really benefit my future career. China's thriving economy makes working in that kind of field very attractive, and a degree from Shanghai University, as well as a base in mandarin would be an incredible chance for me that truly motivates me. China's rich history and political climate is very intriguing to me. After having studied the Han Dynasty for my Extended Project Qualification on ancient Vietnam, It has sparked an interest in me for Chinese history and culture, thereby, studying in Shanghai would be a new and extremely interesting environment for me. Having lived in multicultural cities, I really developed a passion for discovering new cultures and meeting new people, Shanghai University would most certainly provide me with that. Studying at Shanghai Uiversity seems like a priceless chance, and my acceptance on this business studies course would truly be rewarding.
