Education always has been very important throughout my life. Since children, I always has been fascinated with the different subject and projects in the school. My childhood is full of memories related to my desire to learn more about science and the world. I come from a developed country, where the government is looking for young leaders with great ideas that can contribute for the growth of the country. I strongly believe that education is a suitable way that can contribute for the progress of my country. Civil engineers are the professionals responsible for the construction of infrastructure such as roads, building, airport, tunnels, bridges, and water systems. For the future, as a civil engineering I can contribute for the development of my country by applying all the knowledges that I will receive from university.

My desire for civil engineer comes since grade 9 when I found myself in love with courses such as science and mathematics. In science classes, I was fascinated with the studies of nature and the impact that nature has in human's life. On the other side in mathematics classes, I had a lot of fun learning about real life math problems and how to deal with math in daily routine. Throughout the years, I started to develop my academic skills in a way that matches my desire to become a civil engineer. Overall, courses such as: calculus, data management, and physics helped me to realise the challenges of civil engineer and to be prepared for it. In calculus for example I learned different calculation that can be useful for a future enginnering to know it such as derivatives, anti - derivative, and vectors. In physics classes newton law of gravity is very essential to get to know more about the structure of building and the influence that gravity have on those buildings.

Beside from all the knowledge gained from the school, I always like to do further research related to civil engineering. For example: the construction of the panama Canal, a construction that took place in Panama, in 1914. A real life example of how civil engeneering is important for the country because it brings navigation access and economic progress. The Panama Canal is extremely important for the international maritime trade.

My personal skills and life experience can be useful in the future as a civil engineer. My streight are: organization and teamwork. I use organization in all the activities in my life, either at school, or outside school. Also team work which is very important because leaders and members can come together to decide for the best of the group. I had the opportunity to use both of those skills when I had a field trip to China in Guangzhou. The goal for that feel trip was to construct houses for those people who have less privileges in a small town. I was able to organize a small team and give them instructions to make sure that we did a great job by the end of the days. My team was responsible to organize the construction materials in the place where the constructions took place. Habitat for Humanity is the non - profit organization that worked with our school.

On my free time I like to play football or go to the gym. I strongly believe that being healthy is important in order to have a good academic performance. In addition, I enjoy to watch the construction process of buildings, roads, stadium on Youtube or National Geographic. Also I like to go to parks on the weekends and draw the view that I get on the paper. Therefore, my personal skills and academic knowledge gained while I was in highschool are the essential items to prepare for my future career as civil engineer.
