My name is Maryam Berrahou and I was a student of Economics and Social studies at the International Highschool of Ferney Voltaire, France . I graduated in July 2017. Is it with great excitement that I am submitting my application for the Chinese Language Program of International Students at Donghua University. I have decided to apply for this programme because I am sure it would greatly enrich my future studies and help me in my prospective career. Moreover I consider this programme as a great opportunity to get in touch with the Chinese culture and education system. This university, besides being one of the greatest in Shanghai and the whole of China, really spoke to me. Its approach toward students seems extremely friendly and guarantees a successful transition into higher education. My aim is to create a strong educational background, which would allow me to pursue my dream to become an international business lawyer. I deeply believe that living adroad is a crucial in the study of a language ; not only does it bring knowledge in various academic disciplines but it also speeds up the necessary need to become indepedant in daily life. Consequently, this prospect of of personal development is one more motiativation among numerous others that drove me to write this application letter. I set my hopes for this year abroad to improve my spoken and written chinese and expanding my social circle.
