To whom it may concern, My name is NDIAYE Augustin Yann Fabien and with this letter, I would like to express my interest in pursuing a bachelor degree in Mechanical engineering at your university. I am presently studying and enrolled in the International Baccalaureate at the West African College of the Atlantic in Dakar, Senegal. As it is my last year of high school I would like to attend university in China so that I can follow my dreams and gain more knowledge. I have always had a particular interest in physics because of the way it applies to our everyday lives. I started studying physics in 9th grade and since that moment I got a better understanding of the things that surrounded me. I found everything interesting in this subject; going from the different states of water to the structure of molecules. That specific year, I knew that I wanted to study this in the future but I did not know exactly which branch of physics. All the different experiments I had to do were a pleasure to achieve and I knew that I would be more than determined in the future than I will ever be in another subject. At the end of the school year, I had to choose between Physics and Spanish to complete my IB Diploma. I obviously chose Physics and I knew this was the beginning of something new. Most of the time, I will be in physics class or in the laboratory. To add on to this academic interest, I started riding bikes this year and my passion for physics completed this hobby. The mechanics part of physics really related to it because riding bikes became more than just leisure; I was able to assimilate forces and other physical aspects to it. To talk about my professional projects, I would like to design more energetic motors for cars and bikes. The knowledge acquired during my courses will help me to create new machines to help people but especially the Senegalese population. I want to be a part of Senegal’s development because it is my homeland and it needs people to achieve this goal. Apart from Senegal, I want to inspire people around the world by being a revolutionary engineer whose work will be recognized worldwide. The world needs a change and I want to be part of this change. I want to innovate, help the world evolve through the knowledge that your university will give to me. I hope that your university will give me the necessary tools that will help me achieve my dreams and my ambition for my country and for the world.
