Having researched numerous other Chinese universities, I have selected Zhejiang Gongshang University for my study in International Business because of its highly qualified and distinguished faculty. In addition, the university provides an atmosphere for me to fulfill my desire to become well-informed in the Chinese culture, customs, and language. For these reasons I have decided not to accept the generous scholarships offered by my domestic University of South Carolina. I hope to contribute to the university and students my mastery of English through volunteering assistance when asked.
Over the last decade, China has made phenomenal progress in its robust export-driven economy. As has happened in the United States, it is my belief that the next great leap in China's economy will be driven internally through domestic consumption. Within the next ten to fifteen years, the GDP of China should exceed that of the United States. I would very much to participate in this growth by studying International Business at ZGU and learning, for example, corporate governance in China and Chinese consumer behavior.
On this basis it is my hope that the university will accept and approve my application for admission.
