PERSONAL STATEMENT FOR DICKSON. I am Kenyan citizen who has completed Bachelor’s Degree in Business administration and Management and would like to pursue a course in Finance at your Campus and with the age of globalization, our world is now interconnected and refined. This gave a motivation to have a broad and refined international outlook of what my country needs at all times. I aspire to expand my knowledge in Business Finance with an aim of Facilitating to our society on globalization for example in promoting free and open markets and gain skills in strategic decision —making, this gave me a second thought to choose your Ningbo University. I choose your institute because I desire to acquire skills on how to conduct operational and marketing analysis for business firms on a global scale. Globalization and international business is not a developed education basis in Kenyan universities. For me the focus about studying in Ningbo university among other schools is on cross-cultural leadership and international marketing environment. An institution which is willing to fuel my ambitions and desires for success is the kind of institution I want to belong to. The Ningbo has good reputation research and curriculum activities. They offer International Management, Business Practices, Trade, Finance, Cultural Perspective on Global Processes, Advertising and Not-for-profit Management, Strategy and Operations. I am optimistic that all these will nurture me socially to be a business leader and enable me to adapt to the ever changing needs of the modern global business world especially back at home where people have not yet embraced the international studies but only gets the basic of business at university level, this also gave me the motivation to do a second degree with the field on what was not offered in Kenya. I have been working as a Sports man in Wazito Academy, a right based non-governmental organization until today. My roles included facilitating community groups, providing education on business improvement, developing business plans for the club, forming groups for savings, community organizing and governance. This mostly involved a lot of participation in national, regional and international networks through seminars, workshops and joint projects for Sports. This showed me the gap in our universities about international business and so I thought of doing another degree. I realized that I needed to add more skills for best performance and flexibility due to the many challenges. Like some seminars I could choose to keep silent in order not to compromise others due to lack of proper structure skills.
My goal is to be a better employee back in our organization and attain the company’s optimum level of growth. I am team player, a business leader and good at any analytical answers so will gain a lot and import back home as I work with Wazito Academy I believe studying this Masters degree is the best decision I have made and will be of great knowledge to me. .
