As an aspiring engineer, I have pursued as many avenues for gaining new cultural and interpersonal experiences as possible. I would be very pleased to Study at Beijing Language and Culture University for the opportunity to learn a language and to learn of a culture that I has fascinated me since my schooling years. I hope to one day work in China as an engineer who understands and who appreciates it's culture, much the same way that I have loved the cultures and peoples of several other countries where I have lived in the past. Beijing Language and Culture University is an institution I can trust to hold a high standard of teaching, a trusted reputation for international partnerships and for the largest language tuition program of it's kind, and a constructive atmosphere among students and teachers. international reputation, happy reviews from personal friends and alumni of BLCU's Chinese language programs, and the ideal location of the university in Beijing inspired me to apply to your university above others in China. Personal friends recommended BLCU as a university that included all they needed to learn well and socialise with students in the capitol of China: precisely what I could aspire towards as a new student. While at university I came to appreciate the potential for learning Mandarin as both a route to doing business in an incredible economy and as an enjoyable personal pursuit. Tuition from post-graduate students has guided me as I grasped the basics of Mandarin and began my own personal studies of the language. I am glad to have persisted to achieve my current progress with self-study, and I look forward to seeing the benefits of learning from professional tuition and from cultural immersion after arriving in Beijing. BLCU not only offers me the unique opportunity for trusted tuition, it is situated where I may practice Mandarin Chinese with access to a city that is a modern and a future cultural hubs of China. I plan to make the very most of this opportunity and would happily return to China as either a more advanced student, or as a graduate for business.
