Daniel Owusu Ansah is my name, a fresh graduate from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, West Africa. I have been working in Amtek Global Design as the Lead Software Engineer. Even though I read B.A Economics and Geography from the University stated above, I am very talented and proficient in Software Programming.
The undergraduate curriculum and activities exposed my talent as a Software Engineer, I made a lot of impacts in the University, because of my talent and ability to solve software issues, the University employed me as a part time worker in developing some of their Softwares. The University currently uses my designed mobile application, electronic voting system (I implemented Artificial Intelligence concepts into this system), website, messaging systems and many others. My key skills and competencies; strong knowledge in Java Programming Language and Swift Programming Language, very experienced in Database Management Systems, Mysql, PHP, HTML/CSS, JQuery, XML, Photoshop, Corel Draw and Website Development.
In helping my country and the world at large, I have developed a mobile application called “Touch Lives”, Touch Lives App has professional counsellors who are providing professional counselling to the youth on every aspect of their lives, this app can be accessed at a free cost. It was developed in 2015 and as at now it has helped more than 10,000 youths across the globe. I am hoping to reach about 1 billion youths by the end of next year 2018.
While working on my skills and providing services as a Software Engineer to the community, I can realize that learning and developing my knowledge in that filed will have a great contribution to the society than I had done previously.
Also there are four other key reasons why I want to study this program at this Great University. First, I selected it because of its primary focus on Software Engineering with the expectation that students already possess a strong understanding of software engineering. Secondly, a lecturer at the University who is a beneficiary of the program, has provided me with his thoughts about the program. From our conversations, I became excited to learn about the courses offered in the program. Third, I wish to grow to become a staunch person with much knowledge in Software Engineer who can combine the science of technology with the art of management. And lastly, I want to positively impact my generation born and yet unborn; this is my main reason and heart desire. I am much eager to adopt and know new technologies. I am really enthusiastic to attend a Master of Software Engineering in order to understand different Software Engineering Concepts, because every industry needs the concept of Software Engineering.
Moreover, I feel I am very responsible for making a big move in this field and this scholarship will give me a big chance to be one day someone who is remembered for his innovations. I think it is our duty as people sharing life in this world to make our future better because the future is not only ours. Our grandchildren should be proud of us one day when they look back and find how hard we worked to make the world a better place. I believe my qualification and your needs would be an excellent fit.
