I wish to study.. My academic interest lies in Philosophy (in which I am reasonably well-read by undergraduate standards) and Mathematics (which is a challenge for me). Besides these two extreme cases, I have had some study of political theory, history, and the Laws. In five years time I see myself studying mathematical modelling of human/social systems. I wish to study in China, and need to learn the language thoroughly. I want to understand the great civilization to our north, which after many long centuries of slumbering within its homelands, is beginning to stretch across the world again. I have chosen this University because it gives me a chance to live in Beijing, to begin to learn the languages and cultures, inside and outside the Academic system, in China. I am hoping that it would be a good chance to acclimatize myself to a new situation, if I am at this University.
