Why Study Chinese Language Program at Shenzhen University?

I have chosen Shenzhen University for the Mandarin course as an opportunity to learn a new language and the culture of Shenzhen. I would like to start with 1 semester (to make sure I like it), but do plan on doing a full year. I am not sure what my application should be for.
