There are plenty of different programs under Chinese Government Scholarships, but the required application documents are not very different from each other. Generally speaking, you need to prepare following documents for applying a Chinese Government Scholarship:

1. Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship

2. Notarized photocopy of highest diploma

3. Academic transcripts

4. A Study Plan or Research Proposal

5. Two Recommendation Letters

6. Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form

7. Valid documents of your legal guardians in China (only for applicants under 18 years old)

8. A CD of your own works (only for arts students)

9. The photocopy of Pre-admission Letter from designated Chinese university (if available)

10. The photocopy of HSK Certificate (if available)

Please note that all documents submitted should be written in Chinese or English and no application documents will be returned. The first 6 documents are always required, and the last 4 documents are required when you meet the circumstances given in brackets.
